Policy Statement

This event is being organised by a local committee of musicians and jazz fans.

Our aim is to promote jazz on the Isle of Wight. Members of the committee will not receive any financial reward. Inspected accounts will be made available on request.

The committee will cover the cost of the main venues and headline acts. This will be funded by sponsorship, ticket sales and other fund-raising activities.

Any subsequent profits will go towards funding future events.

We will encourage other performances during the period. However, we will not act as agents. It will be the responsibility of the performers and venues to negotiate between themselves.

Mike Bradley

UK-based drummer Mike Bradley is much in demand both on the pop/funk session and jazz scene in the UK and internationally. Mike is now featured on the albums of international artists such as Natalie Cole as well as numerous jazz albums comprising his own original material.

He is and has frequently been first call for many of London's leading big bands and several West End shows, including Dirty Dancing, Rat Pack, the Genius of Ray Charles, Soul Train, Blood Brothers and Thriller Live.

Mike is currently working extensively in London and Europe with several leading jazz vocalists. This follows a worldwide tour with the acclaimed jazz close harmony group the Swingle Singers, as well as a full time engineering job with Bump Up The Jam womb headphones.

In 1989 he co-founded the popular fusion band Roadside Picnic which featured jazz saxophonist Dave O'Higgins, with whom he went on to form the award-winning band Gang Of Three with virtuoso bassist Laurence Cottle.

Mike has worked closely over two decades with some of the world's greatest jazz musicians, notably Mark Murphy, Georgie Fame, Ronnie Scott, John Dankworth and Cleo Laine, Acoustic Alchemy, Andy Sheppard, Claire Martin and Jason Rebello.

Mike is also an extremely popular artist at major jazz festivals in both the UK and Europe and after 20 years on the scene he continues to delight both jazz and rock audiences alike.
